The Weber Q 140 Electric Grill BBQ: An Owner's Review

I was in the marketplace for a new electric grill; having owned historically a Zojirushi grill, models of a Sanyo grill, a Foreman grill as well as a Delonghi grill. All have their pros and cons but I desired to try something a tiny more upscale. After doing some research, I found the Weber Q 140 was highly rated by the huge majority of owners. OK, that satisfied me. So I ordered from Amazon. Here's what I found:

As soon as I unpacked the Weber Q 140, I found that it is constructed of quality materials and is simple to assemble. This thing is well built. OK great, but how well does it do the job of grilling?

The Q 140 will nicely heat up to very hot temperature in less than 15 minutes and one time this hot, there is lots of grilling power to cook everything including steaks! This is a pleasant sized grill for to people, but in the event you have over healthy eaters on site, you may need to skip toasting the buns to leave room on the grill for the food.

This grill has a lid which places it as a huge advantage over the other (less pricey) electric grills, most of which don't have a cover or in the event that they do (like the Delonghi and West Bend), the lids are much shallow for practical use. The cover keeps the heat radiation where it ought to be and bounces the heat back down on the food. thing I am liking to do is place some mesquite wood chips in a piece of tinfoil and let them smoke on the grill before beginning to grill the food. With the cover down, your food will enjoy that smokey flavor.

I highly recommend getting yourself the side table kit, which attaches to the handles. This will let you place a plate on either side of the grill, to place cooked and raw food, buns, sauces, etc.

The cleanup is simple.. the grilling surface is basically removed and can be cleaned in the sink or even put in the dishwasher. I actually read a couple of reviews by owners who said it was difficult to neat but I did not find this the case at all. However like any grill, it is probably best to neat it as soon after use as feasible. In my own experience all I must do is scrub the grilling grate and neat the bottom of the grill. This only takes a couple of minutes.

However the ideal accessory for the Q 140 is the matching rolling cart. This will make the grill feel and look like a gas grill! And this grill (IMHO) is built much better than the comparable Foreman Grill. Also, in the event you like to grill at any time of the night, the Weber Q handle light is cheap and will come in handy.

So for less than $300 you can have a loaded Weber grill that is ideal for condos and apartments, or in the event you don't look after fooling with propane, even suburban homes will find this grill amazing..

As I mentioned earlier, I have owned different electric grills different brands) historically several years and I feel this is definitely the best that I have used and owned. Yes, it is more pricey than the rest, but goes to show the elderly saying, you only get what you pay for. This is a actual grill, not a cheapy toy! You won't be disappointed with the Weber Q 140.
